Meet our Staff
Blake Britt- Managing Partner
Blake moved to Lexington in 1994 where he began making his mark on the community. He was involved in Lexington athletics from 1994 until his high school graduation in 2001. After graduation, Blake went on to Francis Marion University on a baseball scholarship. Due to injury, Blake returned home and completed his college degree at Midlands Technical College. He received a degree in business management and following graduation, joined the family business as an insurance agent. Blake grew his agency from 2005 through June of 2008 when he decided to join his business partners in opening Palmetto Financial Consultants. Blake is married to the former Mary Jane Betbeze of Houston, TX and lives in Lexington. He and Mary Jane are expecting their first child, Hunter in February of 2011. Like his partners, Blake is excited about serving the clients of Palmetto Financial Consultants.
Stuart Britt- Managing Partner
Stuart moved to Lexington, SC in the summer of 1994 and has been a member of the community ever since. He graduated from Lexington High School in 1996 and, like many in his family had done before, he went on to attend Clemson University. In May of 2000 he graduated from Clemson and moved back home to start his business. At the age of 21, Stuart opened his own insurance agency with American National Insurance Company. For the next eight years Stuart built a solid client base and earned awards such as being an ANPAC Quality agent, President's Club, Leaders Club, Top Agency in SC, and Agent of the Year. In 2008 Stuart, along with his business partners, formed Palmetto Financial Consultants, LLC and partnered with Senior Solutions. Since opening, PFC has been named to the top 10 offices in the country and earned a spot in the Elite Leaders Summit. Stuart met his wife, Hope, while at Clemson and the two were married in the spring of 2003. In 2009 their son Cannon was born and the Britt family currently resides in Lexington. Stuart looks forward to helping Palmetto Financial Consultants grow and to serving clients' financial needs.
Jason Strickland- Managing Partner
Jason is a lowcountry native born in Walterboro, SC. He has lived in SC all his life and never plans to leave as his immediate family resides in Walterboro and Charleston. He attended University of South Carolina where he majored in Management and Psychology graduating in 2000. After graduation Jason moved on to work for American National Property and Casualty providing home, auto, and life insurance. After 6 years of working for ANPAC under the tutelage of his boss during this tenure, Terry Britt, he and Terry along with Terry’s sons Stuart and Blake started their own multi-divisional insurance company. He and his partners boast over 60 years experience collectively all in the state of SC and the last 10 in Lexington. We offer products that cater to baby boomers/senior market but have resources to assist anyone regarding insurance decisions including home and auto as well as wealth management. He is chairman of Palladium Society and President of the Business Network International in Lexington. In his spare time Jason enjoys spending time with family, cooking, and physical fitness.
John Maynard- Agent
John moved to Lexington SC from Hartsville SC in 2006. He is a 2011 Graduate of Lexington High School. After graduation, John went into the public safety field where he was certified as a Fire Fighter and Police Officer. He went on to work for multiple agencies and was the recipient of multiple awards for his devotion to duty and level of dedication to the communities he served. John continues that same level of service as a licensed agent for PFC where he prides himself on his client’s satisfaction. John is currently engaged with plans to marry in early September 2017. John is a Master Mason and currently serves as an adviser to Lexington Technology Center’s Fire Fighting program. In his free time John enjoys spending time outdoors with his fiancé, Hannah, firearms training, and watching a good movie or show.
Jessica Jernigan- Agent
Jessica grew up in Pelion, SC where she learned the impact of hard work and perseverence through cross country and track. As one of the youngest team captains,
she helped motivate the team through the years and her efforts paid off. She was part of the decade of dominance competing and winning seven regional cross country
championships and one state championship title. She later carried over her drive and began her career in insurance at Mantei and Assoicates in 2011. During her time there, she was praised for her efforts and service with awards such as MVP and employee of the year. Jessica lives in Lexington with her fiance, Chad Elledge and their four children:
Halle, Austin, Boggs, and Miller. She joined the PFC agency in 2017 and is looking forward to providing the community with excellence in both insurance and customer
service.
